Bio

Bruce Cao attended the University of Maryland from 1992-1996, where he played as the right-side hitter for the UMD men’s volleyball team. He started his volleyball journey at Quince Orchard High School (Maryland), he played three years in the varsity squad and was named MVP in his junior and senior year. After college, he played in the USAV league for many years. He moved to North Carolina in 2006 and continued to pursuit his love of volleyball by playing in the Town of Cary men’s and coed leagues and coaching at local volleyball club (NC Volleyball Academy) and private skills coaching. At home, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, ages 5, 12, and 14. Professionally, he works as a consultant for the pharmaceutical industry.
